Description
Newcomer Godfrey Sanderson arrives in the small riverside village of Watersford in rural Devon and is soon catapulted into the trauma of a murder investigation, in which he is the chief suspect. He turns to the only person who can help him, a former Fleet Street crime reporter, Erwin Graham, who has sought refuge in the local community after suffering a breakdown, where has has now become an indigent artist, assisted by his partner Belle, a gipsy. This is a classic whodunit with an array of suspects and a mystery which seems almost unsolvable, but Erwin Graham takes on the cases and comes to the rescue of his newfound friend.
